White-Tipped Rio!
My son and I headed out to Oklahoma this past spring to hunt with Tony, Roger and Shane. It was our first turkey hunting trip to that region of the US. We had several amazing hunts and the fellowship was second to none. These guys have tons of birds and their knowledge of where the birds are and Roger’s calling is on point. We had birds gobbling morning and afternoon. Being from Georgia we rarely get a bird to strike up in the afternoon. My son shot his first long beard and we both bagged our first Rios. I would highly recommend these guys to anyone who has a passion for turkey hunting. We plan to make this a regular trip.
Split G2 Buck!
Successful every time! For the past two years I have gone to Shamrock Outfitters and had nothing but extraordinary hunts. The very first year I went was November of 2017 and I saw a lot of deer and even had the chance at a great buck. Then nighttime came too early and I couldn’t connect. In that same week, I was able to harvest a trophy wild boar that weighed 475 pounds. It took three grown men struggling to load him up in the back of the truck. In November of 2018 I came ready with my Mathews bow. I was able to harvest a beautiful buck that scored 154 3/8th at just 18 yards. I was then on doe patrol and I had the opportunity to watch two great bucks walk by my stand. So far at Shamrock Outfitters I have been blessed to harvest two trophy animals and a mature doe. The staff goes above and beyond to supply your needs and wants. Food is always great even for a picky eater like me. The lodge itself feels like home. I’m definitely looking forward to many more trips and great adventures with Shamrock Outfitters.
Chocolate Racked Beauty
What can I say, Shamrock Outfitters feels like a second home for me. I have taken a yearly trip out to Shamrock for the past two years now and plan on taking another one this year in November. Shamrock’s staff is unbelievably welcoming and are always there to help any time you need them. The food is always fantastic, but the camaraderie is even better. My first year out there was incredible. During the first morning hunt in 2017, I had the opportunity to bag a huge boar that probably weighed 300 or so pounds but I felt like there was more to offer at that stand, so I let him walk. A few days later, I took down my very first out of state buck, an 11-pointer with 3 tines broken off due to fighting. He had split G2’s on both sides and to top it off, he had a chocolate tint to his rack. What a beautiful buck with so much character. I was truly blessed to take this deer as my very first out of state deer. The Shamrock staff helped me load my buck, take it to the processor, and helped me find a taxidermist close by as well. I went back to Shamrock again this past November 2018 season and couldn’t make it happen, but it was still such an amazing trip. I hunted for a week and saw deer every single sit. I had multiple opportunities to take out a few good bucks but just couldn’t connect. Shamrock Outfitters is an awesome place with great staff and I will continue to make them my #1 place to hunt.
